VAUDE Engadin Bike Giro from 30th of June to 2nd of July 2017: The mountainbike stage race with some new trails and VAUDE as the new title sponsor

The VAUDE Engadin Bike Giro, which will take place from June 30th to July 2nd, 2017, has already made a strong impact on the organization, but it is still a bit more interesting. 400 enthusiastic participants from 16 nations took part in the premiere last year and made the Bike Giro to a fantastic experience. The Engadiner stage race scores in favor of the athletes with its high proportion of single trails, which are also easily accessible for non-professional riders. A pleasure for every passionate mountainbiker, which is even optimized for the second edition.
The mountainbike race for professionals and non-professionals has now won a new title sponsor with the sustainable innovative outdoor equipment company VAUDE. The specialist for mountain and cycling equipment moves his focus from the Schwarzwald into the Engadin. “We are delighted to support the VAUDE Engadin Bike Giro with a high-quality race in the breathtaking backdrop of the Swiss Alps,” says Manfred Meindl from VAUDE.
The course and stage profiles will also be given a new look for the second edition. The prologue of the three-day stage race, which leads on amazing trails through the beautiful Engadin mountains of St. Moritz and Silvaplana, is having a stretch of cosmetics. The start line will be in St. Moritz-Bad and the finish line is in St. Moritz-Salastrains. “This time, a downhill part will be installed at the Prolog on Friday over the 15.1 kilometers and 844 vertical meters. In 2016, the participants had to manage a pure uphill stage “, explains Kai Sauser of the responsible Sauser Event GmbH one of the innovations. But that’s not all: “We made the tracks on the paper slightly “easier”. It will be a few kilometers and altitude meters less than the premiere a year ago, but a few trails more and less running passages. So “even more attractive and beautiful”, the organizers are sure.
In the second stage, the king’s set-up on Saturday with start and finish in Silvaplana, the mountain bikers will have a stage of 75.8 kilometers and 2,079 vertical meters. On the third and last day of the international UCI race announced in the calendar of the World Cycling Federation, about 62.1 kilometers and 1,796 verticals meters are waiting for all bikers. And also this final stage on Sunday is not stingy with visual charms in one of the most beautiful biker’s mountains..
