No Christmas present yet? How about a ticket to the VAUDE Engadin Bike Giro?It is already considered as one of the most attractive mountain bike events and will take place for the third time in 2018 in the breathtaking scenery of the Engadine Alps around St. Moritz and Silvaplana. The third VAUDE Engadin Bike Giro will be held on the proven weekend from 29th of June to 1st of July 2018.
And who will inherit the overall winners in 2017? The German Jochen Käß (Centurion VAUDE) and the Swisswoman Cornelia Hug (Crazy Velo Shop Scott) made it exciting on the sometimes technically tingling tracks and won titles and honors at the second edition of the three day stage race in the beautiful Engadine mountains. The route change of this year’s edition of the MTB race for professionals and hobby riders, with a slight defuse in high alpine terrain, has been proven and will be maintained. And yet the impressive trails do not stingy with their charms next year, but running passages are still limited. There are again three days of racing in the sense of the motto of title sponsor VAUDE “The Spirit of Mountain Sports”, which are waiting for all starters.
The organizers of the Sauser Event GmbH from Germany expect more than 400 active bikers in the Engadine in 2018 as well. The prologue starts again in St. Moritz-Bad, the finish line is in St. Moritz-Salastrains. The second stage remains the queen stage with start and finish close to Lake Silvaplana. Another highlight will take place on the final day of the international UCI race, starting in Silvaplana and continuing through gorges and on beautiful trails over Sils, Maloja and Corvatsch back to Silvaplana.
The online registration is already open and the door for a Christmas present with racing mode as well. The registration prices for the VAUDE Engadin Bike Giro are 320, – CHF per person. However, quick-entries have a lower price because until December 20, 2017, you can enjoy the early bird price, which is 270, – CHF per person. And of course, the popular and attractive hotel packages of the Engadin hosts are also back in the program.
